Woodland Park Colorado Wedding at Edgewood Inn

Boho Wedding at the Edgewood Inn in Woodland Park, Colorado

I first got to meet Carly and Corey during their engagement session. They had booked my Full Wedding Coverage collection and with it, I include a complimentary engagement session. It is so important to get to know the couples that I spend time with on their wedding day. It allows us to have a deeper connection and comfortability right from the start.

Carly and Corey, like most 2020 couples, had to change their wedding plans due to COVID. Their venue was no longer able to support their guest list so they opted to find another venue. In all honesty, the change, I think, was for the better. The Edgewood Inn in Woodland Park proved to offer an amazing space and views of our magnificent mountain, Pikes Peak.

Carly and Corey’s family and friends were nothing short of beautiful and kind to me. They made me feel at home even though we had just met. Carly’s girls were each so special to her and it was so apparent that they adored her. I mean, how could they not? She is truly a gem of a person as was evident by the speech given by her maid of honor. I was full of stories about how selfless Carly was. In particular, I will forever remember the story of her jumping in to save her pup Xena from some icy water she had fallen into. What a person.

There were many times during their day that I had to fight back tears. Their love is something that you hold in your heart as something to strive for, to obtain so luckily for yourself. Their infectious smiles and warmth filled every nook and cranny of the spaces they occupied and it was wondrous.

They say that when it rains on your wedding day, it’s a sign of extremely good luck. I am here to witness that it not only rained on their day, it poured. However, the rain did give us a small break to go out to the mountains. When the clouds cleared, it was the most beautiful sight. Carly, Corey, and their friends trusted me to guide them through their photos on the hillside even though we were on and off being peppered by rainfall. For that, I thank them. I had a vision for this day. Moody. Soulful. Warm. Spirited. It all came together on that hillside with the rain, wind, clouds, and mountains in view. It was perfectly perfect.

To fully trust me with their day, that is a gift they gave me. To give up control. They let me guide them with my professional experience and expertise. I cannot envision a higher compliment that I could receive than allowing me to document your wedding day in my own head and space. To allow me to be creative and guide you for the best photos you could ever dream of. They did that, and it was killer.

Can I do that for you too? Can I help you craft your wedding day timeline for the perfect photos? Can I help ease the burden of planning? Can you give me your day and let me show you how we can make it all work and work well? I would love to connect with you if you are in search of your perfect photographer fit.
